Black Star brings together over 300 players in Washington, DC

We recently hosted our first Washington, D.C. event of 2024 and the Black Star community showed out! Our largest event of the year to date had more than 300 players from across the DMV and Mid-Atlantic region.

A big thank you to our local partners in D.C. United, Washington Spirit, D.C. Parks & Recreation, DC SCORES, Annapolis Blues, and DC Cup for helping us reach these heights as we continue to elevate soccer's status in Black culture and empower the next generation of Black fans and players.

Said Black Star Director, Patrick Rose:

D.C. has always been a great market for Black Star. The region is a hot bed for soccer and we're honored to play a part in building and growing Black soccer culture, specifically. A big thank you goes out to all our local partners and the greater Washington, D.C. soccer community.

Shout out to our partners Allstate, adidas, and King's Hawaiian—who was on site activating on site and handing out their delicious product!

We had an incredible time with players, their parents, and everyone who came out for this great event. A big thanks to everyone who came out!
