Black Star is a community-powered media and events brand cultivating Black soccer culture and pathways for the next generation of players and fans. We operate at the intersection of soccer, lifestyle, and culture.
Black Star’s brand offerings include: media and content, player experiences, fan activations, merch, and advocacy initiatives.
STORIES
The Allstate Next Wave National Showcase will be the first national scouting event showcasing top-ranked Black female soccer players.
Black Star continued its run of 2025 pickup and clinic events in two favorite markets: Detroit and Washington, DC.
LIMITED EDITION
Designed by acclaimed Creative Director, Domo Wells, the “Growing the Game” collection is a celebration of both Black Star’s mission to cultivate Black soccer culture and its inaugural Allstate Next Wave National Showcase, opening pathways for the next generation of women. This collaboration bridges soccer and style to honor the energy, identity, and future of the game in Black communities.
EVENTS
Our on-field programs provide direct-to-community access. From the pitch to the stands, we are literally in the game. Through these events, we authentically engage our Black soccer audiences nationwide.
Free talent ID program for boys and girls ages 13-18 that provides participants with a platform to be scouted and recruited for college, youth club, U.S. Soccer, and professional playing opportunities.
Free to participate clinics for young players (7-12) to ignite a passion for the game with fun, engaging programming that focuses on fundamental skills in an inclusive environment, uniquely rooted in Black culture.
A platform for local athletes to put their most creative moves on display, competing against other teams to be crowned the Community Pickup champion.
